Welcome to Totstars Nursery & Carpentry School, a boutique early years setting located within The Club in Streatham. Purposefully designed to feel warm, personal, and inspiring, our nursery provides a unique learning environment where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and skill through hands-on exploration and imaginative play.
At Totstars, we believe in quality over quantity. Our small group sizes allow us to build close relationships with every child, ensuring they are seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive in their own way. This intimate approach enables our educators to truly understand each child’s interests and learning style, helping them to reach their full potential through meaningful, play-based experiences.
What makes our Streatham setting truly distinctive is our Carpentry School, led by qualified early years practitioners and specialist woodwork leaders. Children safely engage in real tool use, design, and construction activities—developing problem-solving skills, focus, and fine motor control while nurturing independence, resilience, and pride in their creations.
Our children follow the Ofsted-approved Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, with special attention placed on hands-on woodworking experiences that bring learning to life. Through these projects, children develop essential early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills in practical, meaningful ways.
Although we are a small indoor setting, our connection with nature remains at the heart of what we do. Each week, children take part in Forest School trips, where they explore the outdoors, discover the natural world, and build confidence through adventure and sensory-rich experiences.
From 1pm each day, children also have access to the entire Club, including the soft play zones and creative spaces, giving them the opportunity to play, climb, build, and connect in a vibrant, active environment that complements our nursery’s calm, focused atmosphere.
At Totstars, we see early education as the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection—values that guide everything we do.

Amazing nursery and forest school! All the staff are so friendly and you can tell really enjoy what they do! The activities for the children are well thought out and even my 1 year old gets involved in everything. The soft play and sand room are great too and recommend visiting, just for this on a Saturday.

My children have been at Totstars for over a year now and I can’t praise the staff enough for everything they have done & continue to do for and with the children. They love being there, they have learned so much, especially at the forest school with Daniel, and they are looked after with so much care & love.
